Hourly Summer Camp Volunteer
Hiring: Accepting Volunteers for Summer 2012
Applications will be reviewed in May.
General Responsibilities:

Supervision: help watch the children and keep them safe

Interacting with children: playing and engaging children during activities
-
Teaching children: providing instruction so that children can do things on their own
-
Set-up and clean-up: helping the team with preparing the classroom/activities and cleaning up after the day is done
-
Planning and preparation: Helping come up with ideas for activities and preparing the activities for the children

Assistant Teacher
Job Description
Hiring: Annually in May and June for the following year (academic year only)
2012-2013 application deadline is May 15th
Applications will be reviewed in May and applicants will be contacted in late May or early June regarding application.
New applicants are encouraged to schedule a tour or phone conference with the Assistant Principal via e-mail at: lee.brittney@gmail.com. Applicant tours will be scheduled beginning April 1st, 2012.
Requirements:

Current status as a graduate student in the University of Washington (College of Education preferred)

Official acceptance to a graduate level program at the University of Washington (College of Education preferred)

Hourly Classroom Aide
Hiring: Usually Quarterly - Closed for 2011-2012 School Year
General Responsibilities:

Maintain regular attendance

Set up and clean up activities

Supervise children during transitions (including arrival/departure)

Monitor children during activities and play
-
Facilitate/lead or provide support during activities
-
Engage children during activities and play
-
Model skills or provide support while children learn skills

Record data (progress on individual goals)

Request feedback from classroom staff and make appropriate changes

Participate in training from school personnel
-
Other responsibilities as determined by the Head Teacher

Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist
Job Description

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (graduation prior to 2003) or Masters degree (post-2003 graduation) in Occupational Therapy; Masters degree or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy

Washington State Occupational/Physical Therapy license;
-
For Occupational Therapists only: National NBCOT (National Board Certificate in OT);
-
Washington Certification ESA, or willingness to pursue
-
Observation and data collection skills;

Experience working with children with developmental delays preferred.
