Professional Development Unit

The Professional Development Unit/Project DATA Consulting at the Haring Center provides a variety of services to schools, agencies, and families to meet the needs of students with disabilities and significant support needs from birth to age 21. Our team offers consultation, workshops, on-site training, coaching, social skills intervention, and customized professional development.

The Professional Development Unit also provides professional preparation for undergraduate and graduate students, and professionals interested in retooling or renewing their skills in the area of developmental disabilities. Opportunities are available for students in special education, speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, early childhood and family studies, and psychology. Opportunities include extended classroom experiences for teachers, behavior analysts and other pre-professionals; working alongside experienced professionals; and observations and short-term experiences.
